What Happens if you pull the xyloc's cable out of the USB port?
Or if you boot the computer w/o the xyloc plugged in.
Does the software you install for the xyloc prevent access if the hardware is not found? |

If you remove the box during normal operation it immediately goes to a locked state. Then a window pops up stating that the Lock has been removed. Simply plug it back in and all is well again. If you shutdown normally and then remove the Lock from the USB port the computer comes up in a locked state and will not let you in until the Lock is reconnected. Unless of course you have your security settings set to allow a manual override which is on by default. Like I said in the article you can lock down the PC so tight that you can't do a damn thing without the Lock and Key, but if something ever happened to either one you probably won't be getting in anytime soon. An since each Key is different you can't just buy a Key and expect the Lock to unlock the PC. Each Key is specifically assigned to one or more individuals in the "configuration" portion of the software. I've tried numerous ways to break in and have yet to be successful.
