Well I was able to squeeze just a little bit more out of my old computer. I have a 200mhz fsb 1.2ghz athlon that has been running at 1333mhz with a 266mhz fsb for a couple of months now, but I wanted to see how much further I could take it, And It appears that 1.4ghz with a 266mhz fsb is the max
I have an Abit KT7A, and 512mb pc133 sdram.
Here are the settings that I have everything at.
Multiplier: 10.5x
Fsb: 133/33
v-Core 1.825v
When I raise the Fsb to 136/35, with the vcore at the max setting of 1.85v It does not boot into windows properly. Have I reached the max overclock for this chip? or is there something I'm missing here?
Im kinda curious if changing to pc150 memory will enable me to overclock further.

It really depends more on the cpu. Your fsb is not that high so doubt it's the memory. You may have reached the max for your cpu. A 200mhz OC for a 1.2 Athlon is not bad.

BTW, one way to find out if it is the memory is to lower the multiplier and raise the fsb. For example: 9 multiplier X 155 fsb = 1395mhz. If the memory works at that speed, you pretty much have your answer.

It isn't the memory, I'm maxed out on the processor. It worked fine at 9x * 155. I tried every possible combination to get past 1400, but windows wouldnt load properly if I went higher.
but the higher fsb speed gave me a score of 6k in 3dmark2001se, not bad for this old thing. Tempted to go back to that even though it is 5 mhz slower, but I dont think my nic or modem worked at that fsb speed, damn the luck.

BTW, SETI works faster with a higher fsb.
