am wrking on a custom Designed case

basic form factor is a cube

im using the FROZEN CASE PROJECT [ www.frozencase.com ] as inspiration

but with a lot more features his design is brilliant but it lacks symetry and the expansion capabilities

i was wonderin if u guys could help me make up my mind as to how big a case should be

the case mentioned above is 13.4 cubic inches wich is really big when u look at it

sadly its how big a case needs to be if u plan on using a ATX board (12")

so after the 13" mark what would u say is a resonably sized case is before it turns ugly

Everyone caims to tired of the rectangular beige design but would u make the change

Hell try making a pyramid. That would be different. Add a blazing light out of the top like the Vegas Hotel. just an idea

I'd buy one bigger than that if it did the job (and looked cool while doing it) - a Supermicro SC750-A has been doing that for several years now (it's not exactly tiny)- wBig SmileBig Smilef !!!

Well then my design would kick ass if that were a criteria

its basically loaded with a lot of nifty mechanical solutions i personally designed

to basically deal with every possible thing u need to do with a case

except for water cooling

that is i never worked with a water cooled rig so far

but i left a lot of room to add one if u can fit one in 6 cubic inches

as of now my design is Air cooled with 8 80mm fans on an independant power supply

and no i did not add 8 fans for fun they are all important and are arranged for a specif predefined airflow pattern

im currently at the CAD stage of design but it first protype is not far off

current design is 350mm cube but after i finished i made a scrap cube outa cardboard and i asked a couple of friends wht they thought

well they loved the design in cad but actuall dimentions in reality look to be a bit too big

so u see why i ask how big is big

for a case specially for a cube pc case
