Hey do any of you dogs know if this fan will work with the SLK800?

Thermaltake SMART CASE FAN II. Variable Fan Speed Control, by temperature sensor. Fan Dimension: 80x80x25 mm. Two Ball Bearing. 3-Pin. FAN Speed Control Setting: 1300 rpm at 20°C~ . 4800 rpm at 55°C. Air Flow: 20.55 CFM at 1300rpm. 75.7 CFM at 4800rpm

The thing I like about this potential setup the most is that it can bust out 75.7 CFM @ 4800 which is pretty outstanding considering my Delta(helicopter) fan doesn't even do that and is about 10times as loud.

Or any other fan suggestions with the SLK800 would be appreciated. And since I am used to the Delta Screamer it doesn't have to be whisper quiet but would prefer significantly quieter than the delta.

As always..much thanks

The other day I was talking to my pet chicken, I told him if he kept it up I was going to choke him

The ThermalTake Smart Fan I on my Volcano7 is annoyingly loud. The Smart Fan II appears to be much better and offers the choice of manual speed adjustment besides thermostatic control. Give it a shot. If you don't like it, you can always use that fan for case cooling and buy something different to go on the SLK-800.

I am considering another adjustable-speed 80mm YS-Tech fan for an SLK-800 to replace the Volcano7 in my backup PC. I installed one of these fans on the Alpha PAL-8045 in my main PC, and it would be really great, except that I RMA'ed the motherboard weeks ago and I still haven't received a replacement. My main system is currently totally silent, and generates no heat at all.Clown Smile
