I am looking into purchasing a Tbird 1200 with a 266 Mhz fsb and was just curious if anyone knows where the best place is to get them. I know there is pricewatch with the cheapest stuff in the world there. But, should I pay the extra few dollars to, lets say, get one with a blue core or something like that? Would it be worth the extra money and what would the benefits be for overclocking a blue core one compared to a regular one, if any? |

There are different core colors for the Tbirds. I have seen both blue and green. I did read somewhere about a red one or something, but dont take my word for it. I am just not sure if its really worth getting a blue core which I read is supposedly better because its copper not aluminum. Im not sure on the benefits. |

Ed over at overclockers.com is taking a survey on the numbers for the 1.2 T-bird. Apparently there are better ones than others... Might want to take a look over there to see what the results are.

YEEEHAAAAAW!!!! As it turns out, my vid problems that I have been having, along with the crackling audio and messed up dvd rips IS in fact due to my cpu!!! That makes me the happiest man alive because now I will get a Tbird 1200 mhz 266fsb chip with my tax return!! Woooooo!!!!

This kicks so much ass, now, to find out where and what I should get for a tbird 1200 with 266fsb.
Oh, the color of my core on my tbird 900 was like purple or something like that, now its like a peach color, almost copperish which is quite cool. |
