ok i bought a fan with a shroud on it in order to put more air on my heatsink....once i fired up my comp and ran seti for about 4 hours.....i noticed the temps were actually worse....so today when i was installing my g3ti200 (WOOF!!!), i thought id check something out....it turned out the fan was blowing air OUT not in......and when i felt the air from behind it....there was virtually NONE....and from a 80mm fan....im guessing it was about 8 cfm....so i upgraded the fan with 80mm vantec which does 32 cfm....it blows in now too.....together this lowered my temp 25 some degrees at full load......now my comp runs @ 123 degrees vs 148 at full seti load.....IM VERY HAPPY...new vid card and cooler temps all in the same day.....

Very nice! Those are very good temps (51 for the C crowd) for an AMD processor under full load, especially with an 80mm fan.
Feels good, don't it :

heh....the heatsink has a 60mm fan......im just using an 80mm fan with a shroud to redirect an assload of air to the heatsink (i lost my exhaust fan in the process, but it was well worth it)

So what's the name of this heat sink with the shroud? My Dell PC at work has a shroud that sorta fits your description. There's an 80mm case fan attached to the rear of the case and the shroud channels airflow from that fan over the heatsink, I can't see it so I don't know if there's a CPU fan on it as well. Most of the other system components don't usually get too hot so case fans aren't really necessary. HD fans might be useful, and if you're using RDRAM you might need that intake fan. My PC has 2 fan holders in front and back for a possible 4 case fans. I'd like to get a shroud to convert one of the rear fans into another CPU fan.

Finally got this image to display my SETI stats. Took me bloody long enough. Thanks for the help guys! LWD rulez!
