My year-old gaming PC is a tiny little mini-ITX thing. It's hardly worth mentioning. The GPU folding client kicks out more points in two hours than I managed with three to five PCs folding for two years near the beginning of the project.

Unfortunately, I can't fold on the GPU and enjoy my games at the same time. Running 6 threads on the CPU doesn't mess things up too badly for most games (since there are still a couple of threads free to run the game and handle anything else that comes up), but the i7-6700K generates less than 1/20th as many points per day as the GTX980Ti does.

That's why there's a pause button on FAHControl. Wink
