ok, so I clicked on the creative banner that we have here from time to time, and took a look at the modestly priced Digital VCR that the company is selling.
Has there been a review of this??? Does anyone know anything about it??? If I go to a tech site, and see something advertised, you would halfway expect to see a review of the product...
anyways, just looking for more info!

I'd be kinda wary about it; it's VHS's last attempt to fight back against DVD; all appearances to me are of another Beta format.

A digital VCR what creative sells is just a tvcard(probably on a videocard) with which you can store TV. Becuase you can decide which format you use to store the images the quality could be much beter than dvd(read mpeg2) |

what csign said
all this thing is, is a tv tuner card, with some direct-video capture software
I paid like 45 for my wintv PCI card (which comes with "recorder software")
the only difference is that this one does digital tuning (mine is analog only) and this thing has a scheduler built in for setting your recording ahead of time
if you're going to invest in this type of thing I'd recommend investing the extra $$ in a wintv PVR
