Hey ... I'm getting the following error when trying to benchmark ...

3D Mark could not initialize your 3D accelerator. Try to change your display settings.
DirectX Error Message: setFullScreen - creating the device failed E_OUTOFMEMORY

Any suggestions for getting rid of this problem? I did try to reduce my display settings to 800x600 but it must want something else.

run each of the tests to see if anything fails

probably either a corrupted driver, or something that failed during your latest install of DX

go find one of those "scrubbers" for removing DX 8 and reinstall

or upgrade to dx8.1a


but first reinstall a newer set of drivers

Just a little note here, but what video card are you using? What OS? What mainboard/motherboard?

If you could provide those details, it would help us here to narrow down a straightforward answer to your problem

Sorry bout the off topic post but I was looking at building a similar setup.

Will i need DDR ecc or can you use regular DDR?

How big of a powersupply would i need.

The Tyan Tiger board requires registered pc2100 ddr ... it supports ECC, but its not required

I'm running my system with a 400W power supply.

I think Brain has a similar setup if you want to ask him any questions too.
