Wed Aug 04, 2010 12:09 am Post subject: CopSSH not working in windows 7 32bit |
|
I have three systems with the IP's:
XX.188: Windows 7 32-bit System with copSSH installed
XX.125: Windows 7 64-bit SYstem with copSSH Installed
XX.220: Winodws XP proffessional with cygwin installed
When I try to SSH from 188 to 125/220 it works like butter no problem at all.
But, when i try to ssh to 188 from 125/220 it logins succesfully for the first time, but after the 1st attempt it fails randomly.
Consider you attempt 5 times after first login:
Then there are 2/5 chances u can login or 3/5 or if your luck is good 5/5.
But 5/5 rarely happens.
Here is the script file of XX.220:

I used to work for IBM; I recognise those IP addresses.
With all due respect, this is something you should take up with IBM's internal support. Has IBM sanctioned copSSH for internal use?
That said, it looks from your output as if most of those attempts are successful. You get a shell prompt. then issue the command "logout". Only one of those attempts failed due to the shell not being spawned.
Also consider the different operating systems. Does copSSH behave differently on Windows 7 32-bit than on other platforms? |

Actually.. we are trying some alternatives for openssh.. like cygwin contains opensssh as the ssh tool.. even that fails on w7 32-bit.. but works on XP,2008,w7 64-bit.. |

CopSSH is Cygwin/OpenSSH, isn't it? You could try the MSYS/MinGW build, which is not built against the Cygwin dll, if it is that that's problematic.
If you don't need the ssh daemon, there's always good old PuTTY.
On the other hand, you're IBM! Use a real OS: http://www-03.ibm.com/linux/ |
