Someone said that he knows someone that has an alert sent to Outlook when a new post is listed in a the jobs and services categories drilled down to his area. Has anyone heard of such an add-on and know where to get one?
Or maybe there's another app out there that does that without Outlook?

Does he have Outlook 2007? My guess is that he is using Outlook to alert him when the RSS feed for that area is updated.

Yes, as I just found out by looking at the page closer that he must be using the RSS feeds.
