|
My new system is almost ready to load and I want to be able to dual boot Windows XP and Vista. I haven't installed any software on my hardware yet - looking for advice.
Most of my applications
Adobe Elements
Corel Draw
various small older apps will still need Win XP to run without a major headache.
software
Ordered new OEM editions of XP Professional SP2 and Vista
hardware is
XFX nForce 680i LT SLI mobo
Intel Core 2 Quad Q 6600 Processor
2.46 Ghz, 4x2MB,1066MHzFSB
all the other usual suspects....Is a procedure that anyone recommends? any and all advice will be appreciated. Thanks in advance! |

Why anyone would voluntarily choose to run Vista is beyond me but, if you're that masochistic, consider using Virtual PC or similar to run XP inside Vista, if dual-booting proves to be a headache. |

Actually I am running Vista and I have had a few problems but with a little research those issues were resolved and I am actually enjoying my Vista install |

Thanks anubis.
Some of my software just doesn't do well on Vista and I am networked with my sweeties' office for the majority of the hardware where drivers are an issue. It is just easier to have both for now. (or not, lol! )
Thanks guys. |
