I have the memory benchmark, but I'm at work, and didn't bring the numbers with me. Memory bandwidth is almost entirely independant of the processor. This is still a Via Apollo pro based motherboard, so the bandwidth should be pretty similar to most Apollo mobo's: Bad.

If I recall correctly the numbers were something like 480/420MB/s. If those seem completely wrong, then perhaps I don't recall correctly.

If the Iwill board had worked like it was supposed to, memory bandwidth would have been higher because it is based on the Apollo Pro266(DDR).

Right after I got the Tyan board I did some quick benchmarks testing the P3-700's with both DDR and SDR memory. The P3's really don't benefit from higher memory bandwidth because the front side bus becomes the limitation anyways.

It's not your celery that is producing those numbers. Memory bandwidth is a product of your chipset, not you processor. What chipset does you motherboard use??

hello Dawgs,
Via is not the only choice for running dual-tualatins ! Serverworks got some fine chipsets for dual-tualatin-pimpinī Smile
but boards are hard to get...compaq is using them in their proliant-servers...

have a nice day...
Pete

There are no known problems with VIA and SETI ... I'm very happy with mine (as are most people) ...
