|
[boot loader]
timeout=30
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Windows Server 2003, Enterprise" /noexecute=opto/fastdetect /3GB
I've got 6 Gig of ram installed, the bios sees all the ram but windows does not. I've added the /3GB switch to the boot.ini file as listed above. Tried changing the placement of the /3GB switch & nothing changes the box only seems 3.5 gig.
ideas? |

An infinite number of monkeys pounding away on keyboards will eventually produce a report showing that Windows is more secure and has a lower TCO, than linux.

I was hesitant to use the PAE switch as this server will be a SQL server.
After doing some intense Google searches I'm not sure which way to go
hence posts like this

Wouldn't you be better with the 64bit version of the operating system? |

Yes I would but the hardware I'm working w/ isn't 64 bit. |

Then you won't see all 4GB of RAM. |
