I found a deal on the Creative Fatal1ty Professional Series Gaming Headset, and ordered a pair. A decent headset has been on my list for a while...
Read reviews and they get good marks, aside from the silly Fatal1ty branding... only $40 - down from $100. Seems a reasonable price to pay for a decent headset.
Plug them in, and they're crap. It seems like there's a loose wire at the inline volume / mic control module The mic isn't picking up speech well at all in the audio setup. Touch the wire and there's super loud popping and cracking.
So..the RMA police will take it away and hopefully set two will work okie dokie. That or I'll have to endeavor to get my money back in May
The headset otherwise has really nice soft cushion around the ears. We'll see how round 2 works out. |

I strongly recommend the Sennheiser PC-151 or PC-161 headset. |
