|
I really like the "red glass" gnome mouse pointers which ship with Ubuntu. So much so, in face, that I'd like to use 'em in Windows as well.
My Google-fu has failed me. I've tried searching for variants on the terms convert x11 gnome cursor linux mouse pointer red glass windows (not all at once) but to no avail.
Someone going by the moniker of "Penniless Prophet" has created a mouse pointer set for Windows and called it "Red Glass", but it's bloody hideous. It's not a patch on the pointer set I know and love.
I've found information on converting Windows mouse pointers for use under Linux, but nothing for going the other way. Maybe it's because no-one thinks anyone might possibly ever want to take something from Linux and use it in Windows, or something. I dunno.
Anyway, does anyone have any ideas? I'm stumped. |

I'm not looking for a "close enough" equivalent which I can download from somewhere else. I'm trying to find out how to convert mouse pointers from X11/Gnome to Windows. Whether it's the "red glass" theme or something else is entirely immaterial.
Still, if you feel a screenshot would be beneficial...

Can't you just use a cursor making program fer Winders and pull the graphics from the Linux mouse pointer over that way? It's just made from some graphics files...
Something like StarDock's CursorFX? |
