it's official, the 3.03 client is slow as molassas(sp?)

on my p2 366 laptop, my time went from 7-8 hours up to 16 hours+

my BP6 has been running the new client for 12 hours and hasn't kicked out a completed WU yet

I'm NEVER going to catch Spotzki at this rate

Damn progress !

Blame is for people who need a reason to be pissed off !

My work units now take 2 hours longer to complete with the new and improved 3.03. [ Sad

Maybe it is the work units I downloaded but my SETI is running faster.

I was having some super slow times with the 3.03 client too, but today seems to be about a bit faster. I have a Pentium Pro 180 that was doing WU's in about 22 hrs and now it is doing them in ~28hrs. My PIII is running ~7 hrs. My P2 400's are running ~11 hrs.

Ok, I think we all agree that the 3.03 client is slow. But man, it is also erratic! I've been getting times ranging from about 5.6 hrs.\WU to almost 9 hrs. And that's not counting encoding/decoding DVD's.

There is my problem. I hadn't done any SETI for a couple of weeks while I did a reinstall/hard drive change around. I had forgot to back up my SETI stuff, so I had to re-download the client and everything. I've been going nuts trying to figure what was different with my system that my seti got like two hours longer. Sometimes I am just a little dumber than a hammer. It should have been fairly obvious that it was the client.
