We have 4 dogs... they make a mess, and picking it up with plastic bags isn't the most environmentally friendly thing...

So we're pondering the doggie septic system Smile

Mostly, it has the thaw out some here before such a thing can be buried into the yard.

I've looked into those before, but they don't work in clayed soil. That is why I could use one.

So you can use it? or cannot?

The soil around our house isn't clayed -- it's a former sugar beet plantation.

I have one - had one in Texas in extreme clay with five dogs. If one prepares the area (digs it up and puts in some pebbles or other stuff to break up the surrounding area) - it will work.

jelly is right, though. If you just install it directly into a clay hole, it will probably start to stink soon. Shocked

you can use it, I just let me dogs poop on my neighbours property. Problem solved.

It is weird that I've lived there now for 5 years, and never seen where my dogs poop. oh well

Fill a hole with sawdust and some lime, top with sods you took out, should stay fairly sweet. Smile

Let nature deal. Chemicals and crating dogs is wrong.
