So my shiny new book all about Leopard arrived this morning. I've been reading it this evening.

"Ooh, that FileVault looks like a nifty feature. I think I'll enable it."

[...]

"Hmm. Performance has dropped through the floor. I wonder if it's the encryption overhead. Perhaps I should disable FileVault."

"Looks like the file system's gone a bit wonky, too. It thinks there's a file present which is bigger than the hard disk. May as well get rid of that rogue item."

[...]

"What do you mean, 'logging into the account failed because an error occurred?' Let me sign in, dammit!"

Ahem.

Well, only the other day I was looking for books which would tell me how to support and troubleshoot my Mac, not just how to use it. Looks like I've got my opportunity...

What the fuck is it with me and self-inflicted computer woes this week?

Someone take my computers away from me before I do any more damage. Please.
