Are those your only two options? Have you considered the ABIT KT7A-RAID at all? I've been hearing nothing but good things about that mobo.

ABIT KT7A-RAID seemed to have various compat. issues with HPT 370 ctrl. Promise ctrl more accepted. Also, I once flashed and failed (GIGA dual bios)

True... highpoint controllers suck. don't know if you're a fan of Toms but he has a 133a shootout deal here:

According to him.... the A7V turned out to be pretty good (although they were all too close to call IMO)

Thanks for add info. Tom's site can be wonderfully esoteric in content. All boards were stable with similar numbers. The choice is in availability and flavors.
