Hey guys I'm getting an error on one of my computers at start up just after the Windows XP splash screen. A window pops up titled Lsass.exe "Application execution was unsuccessful". It then resets and goes through the process again. I tried a repair installation using an XP install disc to no avail. Have any of you guys come across this? Does anyone know how to fix it? I've done some googling and come up with nothing.

Thanks, it looks like it probobly is, however the start bar never loads so I am unable to get to Run to start the removal process described in the link. Does anyone know of another way? Can it be done through the recovery console or a linux live cd as currently they seem to be the only methods of accessing the windows partition that I can think of.

You can make your own Windows live CD, if you have an I386 directory lurking somewhere.

if you can boot up in safe mode - command prompt only, you might be able to use a floppy/cd/etc and run it that way.
