Vista Boot Disk Failure - only boot with Vista DVD

I had the Windows Media Center 2005 XP installed before but it kept rebooting. Also lost the Windows Xp product key so my husband and I have no choice but install Vista Untimate. We bought it several months ago, tried it, hate it but no choice.

During install & updates, it reboot several times with Vista DVD in a drive and it was fine. When we took a DVD out and reboot it because of windows updates then it kept display message "DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK".

My husband already changed BIOS setting to boot from hard drive first but it's still not working. When we put a DVD back in a drive, reboot then it was fine so we leave it there.

Any idea how to fix this? Please help.
