Hey all,

For about 6 months I have had a Dell XPS M1210 Laptop that I play WoW on. It plays the game great along with just about anything else I throw at it, with one problem...

It gets HOT AS HELL.

I am starting to see framerate slowdown and glitching when I play on my lap, and I want to find a cooling solution for it.

I have looked at a tone of em on newegg, and many seem to do the job, but I cant find one that really looks like it would be comfortable on my lap, and actually get the laptop cool.

Any of you dogs have experience with these?

How about one of those cushioned boards? The cushion would mould to your lap for comfort, and the board would remain rigid allowing air to flow underneath the laptop.

being the utilitarian I am in this regard... a pillow plus the targus notebook chill mat works well on one of the worst designs ever... HP n5475. keeps it cool under normal loads (but nothing can help it for full loads). Also keeps my ze4560us cool. it's also one of the cheapest. Had one so fat for nearly 4 years with no troubles.

targus info here:

it's cheaper at walmart.
