Spot on with your conclusion of the fusion T.
As one who shaves his head every 4 or so days I have tried damn near every razor made to make it as pleasant as possible. The one that does it for me is the Schick Xtreme 3 due to its "flexing" blades.
I first shave with the grain and then come back a second time against the grain.
