|
I saw a thread on Techguy advising not to get the nVidia 8000 series cards because of problems with Vista. What is the best card I can get in the $300-$400 price range?
My config will be C2D E6600, 4 GB GeIL DDR2 PC2 6400 RAM, ASUS P5W DH Deluxe motherboard, a TV tuner (yet to be determined), and dual moniters--a 20" 1400 x 1050 and a 22" 1680 x 1050. Also plan to have a dual boot with WinXP MCE and Vista Home Premium |

I like gaming and I like high graphics settings. Will the 320 handle my setup (with future DX10 games in mind) or should I get the 640? |

The 320MB card will perform very well at 1680x1050. It doesn't fall down until you crank the resolution up higher. Gaming at 2560x1600 really needs at least 512MB.
