Will be interesting to see what happens in the Big east. They got two teams in the top 5 in the BCD and then you got Rutgers undefeated down there at #15. They all have to play each other yet.
Louisville's next two games are against West Virginia this weekend and then Rutgers the following weekend. Who ever wins that game should win the Big East.
Rutgers and West Virginia play the last game of the Season.
Should be interesting. |

Louisville, WVU this Thursday should be an awesome game. Unfortunately I'll be in the air on my way back to Louisville during the game (but I'm a Kentucky fan anyway). |

And who says we don't have a playoff system? |

Well, I didn't see that one coming. I wanted Louisville to win but I thought for sure WV would win that game. Louisville doesn't have an easy schedule. They are away at Rutgers and Pitt. I don't think they can win both of those games. If they do, they will be undefeated. I don't think South Florida or Uconn can beat them.
I am rooting for the underdog Rutgers to run the table. Just because I know it would piss off the BCS! |

My take on the Louisville/WVU game is that WVU is a better team, but didn't do the things necessary to win the game. Like hold onto the ball. You can't turn the ball over 3 times against even a halfway decent team, much less a Top 10 team and expect to win. You can't open the 2nd half with 2 turnovers, one for a touchdown, and give up a punt return for a touchdown. On the flip side, Louisville didn't come close to even slowing down the WVU attack most of the night. Louisville did well offensively too, but damn that WVU offense is pretty unreal. They can score in a heartbeat and even though their rushing game takes most of the glory, their passing game can get it done too.
If they played 5 games, I'd put 3 in WVU's win column and 2 in Louisville's....that's how closely matched the two teams are. |

HOLY COW!!!! Rutgers over Louisville. Even if Rutgers runs the table, I will bet there is no way in hell the BCS will let them play for a National Championship. That is unfortunate. |

Why? Undefeated != great team. Rutgers and Louisville (when "U of L should go to the National Championship" was still talk of the town) would get their asses handed to them by the likes of Ohio State. Neither has played a team of that caliber. Rutgers showed that a team that TACKLES beats Louisville...crank that up a level for OSU and Michigan. |

I will never understand the AP or USA today polls. Why is West Virginia ranked higher then Louisville? The people who vote in these polls must have their secretaries submit their damn votes. |

It's all about timing. The polls don't show who the best teams are. It shows who did what last week based on where they were the previous week. It's a snapshot in time. Otherwise WVU beating Rutgers (which is likely) would really complicate the ranking of WVU, UL, and Rutgers. |
