Well, every time I tried to play (haven't played since April) the stupid game would hang as soon as I started looking for servers. Ctrl-Alt-Del would not let me kill the process, and Alt-Tab did nothing either.

the game works best with a minimum of 1 gb of ram anything less and it really has a huge hang time. and as with other newer PC games the better the graphics card and CPU the better the game play and better start up times |

I never had any problems (except lag) when I only had a half Gig of RAM. I am using One Gig now. I'm beginning to think there is a problem with the extra stick I added... |

I got something for ya.
I finally found out why I couldn't get the server to run in console mode, SRCDS no longer installs with a default server.cfg. It was starting, but had no idea how many players to allow, what map, etc. It's now running in console mode and should be good to go.
Akely and Doomie have admin rights to the server, that way I have one person on each side that can change stuff if I'm not around. Team balancing regarding the bots is not working still, I'm looking for other options regarding that issue.
Anyone want to help with webdesign? I registered http://www.lwdcounterstrike.com over the weekend, but didn't have time to do a proper template. I may just whip something up so there's something there to start with. Doomie?
Teamspeak is working well, everyone should be able to register with the server to reserve a slot. If not I'll generate userID's for everyone. |

Adminrights noted. Keep in mind that I've played CS:S a grand total of 2 tymes. I have no idea about the admin protocol and what an admin can do. Is there a readme.txt, or something similar?
Regarding the web page: what are you using? Pure html? asp? Databases? I might want to help out.
I say "might" becouse I have not made my mind up yet, and I have lots of things IRL. Working web at work do not help, as I am starting to get fed up with it - then again our web is sverly restricted, sucks and is booring to work with.

I'll write up a howto for all the new admins this week. Basically to use your new superpowers go into the console by hitting the ~ key (This has to be enabled via options/keyboard/advanced/enable developer console) and type admin. (I would bind it to a key so you can access it easier in game, for example I have it bound to the p key. to do this go in to the console and type bind *insert key here* "admin")
You can kick players, add bots, change a few server settings, etc.
I'm going to use Joomla as the CMS, all I really need is a template. It can be plain HTML if need be, it doesn't take long to convert to use style sheets. Like I said I'll probably just whip something up in the interim, I did that last time with the default PHPnuke template and it worked fine. |

He does better than he'll admit to.
Oh, something I forgot to add, player bounties are enabled on the server. If you get 10 kills without dying you automatically have a $1000 bounty on your head. The first person to kill you gets the money, which is added to by you getting more kills, surviving a round, etc. I was playing last night with Akely and one of the bots ended up getting $5500. |
