xbox == pc
pc can do psx games in emulation so xbox can do the same(if the 2 emulator companies weren't broke or bought by sony)
xbox is faster than ps2 but not that much so emmulation is probably to slow |

xbox doesn't do psx and dreamcast games. But it wouldn't be difficult to let it emulate those consoles. Problem is microsoft doesn't want to let you run those games so that will probably never official happen.
ps2 games is a problem. The ps2 works totally different that a pc so emulating it fast enough to play games is a problem |

high end g4 crapintoshes. I think you made a typo. should be high cost g4 crapintoshes
about emulation. Is not something what rules my day. But i'm hardly an expert with this but i have so my doubts if the mac has enough bandwith for it |

hmm, the console gaming knowledge at LWD.com is not that high. I pronounce myself new king of console gaming at LWD. Ask me your questions and I shall answer.
As for this post, do you really think Sony would let Microsoft make a console that plays their games....come on now, use a little common sense. |

You have that the wrong way. I don't think microsoft would like it when people play ps2 games on the xbox. microsoft wouldn't get money from the game but would still subsides the xbox. That is not a position they would want to be in |

Doing a google search for ps2 emulation it seems that there are ps2 emulators for the pc and the mac. But they don't seem to be any good(surprising) |

So SKAsXe, are you saying that the x-box won't do Dreamcast or psx/2 games?
Thanks
Mike |

Microsoft wont santion an emulator for psx or dreamcast. I don't think that emulating an ps2 on a xbox is really possible |

Dude . . I can do the same thing on dual p3 700's running BeOS, and save you about 8 thousand bucks
I can have 9 virtual desktops open with each of them full of stuff happening. I had almost 60 cl-amp windows open AND playing mp3's at one time, Be was able to integrate the channels, manage the upstream data, all of the threads, and keep the disk access from crashing everything ( I accidentally did this once when i didn't realize that i had a whole directory full of files "selected" when I hit enter . . . I came back in the room when i finally noticed all the sounds blurring into one loud-@ss noise about 15 minutes later )
