Had this genius idead to upgrade my Compaq Armada 1750 to a PIII cpu after reading this article.

So I disassembled the Toughbook that I got from Bam that turned out to be not so tough when it took a direct hit during the mail process. Thanks USPS. I took the 500mhz cpu out of that and then started disassembling my Armada 1750. As I got the Armada all apart into a million pieces I realized that the cpu's were not the same. The toughbook just has a chip and the Armada is integrated onto a board.

So anyone got a MMC2 PIII cpu they would like to trade me or sell to me real cheap. Looks like I can get one rather cheap on Ebay. But haven't found a 850 mmc2 on ebay.

Slashdot reply: You don't use programs? What, you put the cat-5 in your mouth and try to *taste* the intruders?

An infinite number of monkeys pounding away on keyboards will eventually produce a report showing that Windows is more secure and has a lower TCO, than linux.
