I was looking at upgrading to a 1.4ghz Athlon. But I was wondering what it meant by stepping. They had two choices on Newegg. Is it better to have this stepping version.

If you are going to overclock and you get a board that lets you overclock, this would be the better stepping. AYAHJA "Y" is the choice overclocker.
If you won't be overclocking, then it wouldn't matter...
For a few dollars more...you could shoot for the XP series...

Can't go XP. I do not have version 1.3 of the Abit KT7A. Really pisses me off. |
