In 2010, M$ Windows will be a quantum processing emulation layer for a 128-bit mod of a 64-bit hack of a 32-bit patch to a 16-bit GUI for an 8-bit operating system written for a 4-bit processor from a 2-bit company that can't stand 1 bit of competition.

Still, with 4 cores you could just run multiple VMs and have multiple instances of an OS running at the same time. Virtualization I think they call it.

Actually, WinXP and WinServer2k3 should work just fine... as long as the license level is appropriate.

But with AMD and Intel going more for parallel cores, MS is going to have to re-eval their licensing structure.

I can see they'll try and charge more for a 'decent' pc sooner tho Sad

suffice to say, i won't be giving them any more cash. I'll just use Linux wherever I can Smile

From what I hear from our MS rep they have already thought this through and will be licensing per socket rather than per core.
