o.0 sounds nice i mean better video for movies and games, higher res. for working with more programs w/o multiple monitors (which i love at work and want at home ) and faster refresh rate for lots of things but the most noticed is lag on some games... (Ie Counter-strike) won't be too much to notice but will be nice to say haha my fps is 10x faster than yours! lol (may be over exadurating but eh) |

I dunno about you guys but when I upgrade my PC I only upgrade the box.
Monitors only get upgraded when there is a pressing need (except my latest 2405FPW which was just for luxury) I would expect my monitors to last for at least 2 or 3 generations of PC. |

I expect early versions of graphics cards supporting this standard will come both a DisplayPort and a DVI socket, just like my current video card has both a DVI and a VGA socket.
I wouldn't worry about having to get a new display just yet. |
