...I set my Final Goal:
I wanna be a Big Dog again, and I can do it in ~74 Days. I've got a small farm of 3.2 GHz HyperThreadinBoxen, but most are Part Timers, only 45 hours/wk. I've risen 18 places up the LWD Team chart since April, and I've also reached many hundreds of other attainable goals.
So, wish me luck
They shut down new account creation a couple weeks ago, and no longer offer the client for download.
Will SETI Classique® still be alive long to let me get back in the Big Dogs? |

I finally broke the top 25. I am hopin to make the top 10 before it dies. I probably wont though. I remember passing you when I was making my run back into the Big Dogs. I had been as high as 29 then I stopped crunching. I think I fell well below 100 before I started crunching again. |

Thanks RED
If only you knew all the goals I have met. I've stopped, disabled and uninstalled SETI several times, but it keeps pulling me back...Since it looks like it is finally shutting down for real, I thought I would get one last Hurrah.
Since I first read The Satan of SETI's Guide 4 years ago, I have steadily knocked off One Minute Average CPU Tyme per day ever since. I joined the Team with a hair under 30:hours Avg CPU, and at one tyme was around 90:hrs, but am now down to almost 11:hrs. If I reach the Big Dogs, I will also be under 10:hrs =D
I am currently crunching my entire 1st year's completed WU, every day.. but I won't be able to deploy BOINC to all my boXen @ work.
P.S., if you voted NO, are you willing to put your money where your mouf is? I'll betcha I can make it, and I think another donation to Fido is in order
P.S.S., If you voted Yes and are willing to crunch using my user_info.sah, there could be an LWD Coffee Mug in it for ya |

good luck m8! i'll bet my best bone that you'll fig out a way to do it!
at the rate i'm going, w/only 2 boxes running classic & producing 4-5 wu per day, i'll fall about 1400 short of my 10k goal. hard to believe i been crunchin classic for 5 years now, @ 10 years of computer time on those puppies...seems like only yesterday whew! oh well, out w/the old & hopefully w/o classic i'll be able to throw a few more wu's into the boinc bowl everyday!
viva le seti! |

There is some extra firepower *WOW* maybe I can do it in 30 days! Thanks My Doggies!
I will also be the Top Cruncher tomorrow morning for the Very First Tyme
Quote:59) TOMaxwell 51 57 56 57 143 128 123 27 642 20.6% 87.9 12481 15.268y 10h 42m 59.1s
Also shaved another :20 minutes of AVG CPU Tyme to 10:42 - at that rate, I can get under 10:00 in just a few more days.
GODBLESS the Final Goal! |

I wish I knew who was crunching all "my" extra WU. It is well over a hundred per day in addition to my mini Dell Optiplex part timers ... I'm only good for ~55 a day, and got 162...
At this rate, I can be in the Big Dogs in 3 weeks or so.
I am so humbled. |

Nothing like that!
I am the 'umble Benefactor of Someone's Generous Contribution. 243 WU yesterday - I am overwhelmed - At that rate, I could make my Final Goal by the end of July.
I CANNot Thank You Dogs enough...
[Edit]
Omigosh! I think I just passed BamZipPow ...
And I am betting that they are just waiting for the 2 Billionth Result, before they cut it off for good. That is like 65 Million WU...............2 months eh? |

Whew! Retaking beast was a Goal I had long since given up on.
I was ahead of him when I first joined LWD, but not since.
Until now. WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
I can actually make it back in the Top 50 before the end of this month, at
the rate I am receiving credit - 10% of my Grand Total in the Past Week!
In fact, I could get up in the Top 20 in 3 months if ... if ...
Here is a snapshot of the Big Dogs way back when...
