Well I'm going to paint a keyboard I have - my teacher was going to throw it away,but gave it to me instead - it still works.
Anyone ever done this before? |

Don't paint it...the layers will be too thick. Use some plastic dye instead...  |

What would happen if the layers were too thick?
How much does plastic dye cost?
I'd much rather use the blue and silver enamel that I use to make model cars...

Not all that much. Look it up and find out what's gonna be the best price range fer the color you want...

That is yer choice, but once you stick paint on it and it looks like crap...don't come running to us...

Is there such thing as blue metallic plastic dye?
Does paint thinner damage plastic? If not, I could always just remove the paint, and then go with the plastic dye if it doesn't work out... |

I don't think you'd be able to get all the paint off. Plastic would most likely absorb some of it.
And I have no clue what the chemical reaction would be (if any) when applying paint thinner to keyboard plastic, but it sounds risky. |

Er...most keyboards are plastic...poly based plastic. Paint thinner will desolve that plastic...give it a try. |

Oh yes, and I'm guessing you guys want pics?
Here you are.
You can't really tell in the pics, but there are a couple areas that don't look so good... But not easily noticable unless you know what you're looking for. I'd say this keyboard is really damn cool (especially seeing as the total cost of it was NOTHING).
Now I'm officially a "techie": I've modded some hardware, and I'm about 70 pages into "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" 
Let me know what you think of this, on a scale from 1 to 10 (1 being crap, 10 being kick-ass). |

Acne: None, or VERY little.
Lens Thickness: N/A - I don't have glasses.
BO Smell: None - unless you count cologne.
