Ok guys and gals i feel like treating myself to a game - however i don't want anything Action because i'll finish it in a week and i'll feel robbed - so RPG only...

Now i've been doing a little reading and came up with these ideas what do you think?

I did pretty good on my last buy - BG2 it lasted me for 6 months or more

get neverwinternights

they were working on a port for BeOS, so I'm going to invest in it even if i never play it

I wanted to try Anarchy online but all the problems they have been having kept me away. since i have never played this type of game online i don't want to deal with the added problems.

have they gotten them worked out yet?

AO is much more stable now, but problems were amazingly scary the first month.

Now the lag is much better and the game works great for us.

=) but im such an RPG addict so my opinion might be biased.

I don't know much about it only what i've read in reviews and things... But it's got a kick ass angle to it - placing you in the game! thats pretty cool..

I'm going with Neverwinter Nights when it is released. Dont feel like spending any money till then, but it sounds like a really cool game.

I have never played an RPG online but I have seen them and I don't agree with monthly charges.
The only one that looks interesting is Star Wars - Galaxies

I played Everquest for quite some time in the early part of the year. I spent hours and hours and hours and hour and...you get the idea. It sucked my brain Big Smile.

I liked Diablo II and the old Might and Magic games. Neverwinter Nights has the most promise of any RPG I've ever seen: you can run your own world as a GM and host your own adventurers. It's rumored to be the closest version yet to pen and paper D&D. Can't wait for the release, which seems to keep getting pushed back.

The Star Wars MMORPG looks cool too.

Ok, I'm in a similar situation. I also need a game but I'm in the UK right now. I'm only here for a few more months but I need something to entertain me while I procrastinate. There's no internet hookup in my room so I have to trek to the lab every time I get online. So even easier would be something I can download. Any suggestions for me?
