Hey everyone, there's a couple of programs that I've been using for a while now to monitor my connection statistics, etc and was wondering if any of you know/use them. I use a little program (approx 250k) called NetStat Live by Analog X (http://www.analogx.com) that will display your current, average, and maximum (attained) incoming and outgoing bandwidth statistics, as well as monitoring your total CPU usage. It also lets you ping a remote host and will give you basic trace and ping statistics.
Another program that I use is called Naviscope (http://www.naviscope.com) and it will give you much more detailed ping and trace statistics. But, it also offers some features like clock correction via atomic clock, DNS address caching, page prefetching, advertising and popup blocking, and the ability to copy any URL from IE (netscape's supported too, but I don't use it) to the clipboard, including 'hidden' URL's to files like those found on sites such as Juston.
Basically what I was wondering was if anyone else knows of/uses these programs, or if there is any other software along these lines that is better (maybe offers a good all-in-one package).
Comments/suggestions?

Dude! I don't know about anybody else here, but you have just answered my prayers! I have been depending on the Bandwidth speedtest on MSN, and we all know that it lies.
I am off to download these programs now, sorry can't talk |

I'll have to check them out. Would love to know what my actual DSL speed is. (Although I do get some great pings in Counter-Strike and Fronline Force ).
How about programs for the network. What's a good diagnostic/sniffer program. At work, we use a Dolsch sniffer. It's a portable computer that takes full size cards. Looks like an original laptop. It's a great sniffer, but I kind of wanted some utilities for my laptop. Any suggestions? Thanks.
