Still using the default one.. Mac's are still new to me.. so i kinda enjoy seeing the nice apple.. i'm sure i'll get tired of it in 2 weeks and figure out how to replace it..

I had slapped on the QNX theme on my iBook (no more) so it had a diff boot splash.

ah QNX, another missed quality OS. photon wasn't a bad GUI and it had a great package manager.

oh themes. yeah, back on topic. going to try some of those out tonight. sweet!

No prob. I can honestly feel my GUI a little snappier with a different theme on it, such as QNX.

(I know that line above sounds a little dirty, but it is not. I'm only making this disclaimer for a "certain-someone's" sake O2)

do you think a little article about changing the boot panel would be good fodder for LWD?
I have never written an article for this site - so I wouldn't be crushed If I were told to forgo the project.

or is the boot panel one of those no brainer things that everyone figures out and I am just wholeheartedly excited because I'm usually so technically lost?

Yes. Definitely. You could teach people how to replace their OSX boot logo with the standard Windows 2000 one. Twisted Evil

By the sound of it the method isn't as baroque as it is for Windows, but not everyone will be aware of it.
