If it helps any... I went and found a couple players I really liked, selected them, and then made sure that I wouldn't get the really popular player I can't stand... then I closed the whole thing down...
I don't know enough baseball players to know who is good and who is not.
so Its gunna be interesting.

It takes away some of the strategy when you can play so many. Maybe Dump those bottom two utility players? And add another C? A problem with cathcers is that thye don't paly everyday so in order to use games its hard.
well i figured the major league roster limit is 25, so 15 position players +10 pitchers = 25. Not too many, but not too few, that's the only reason for that selection |

I concur, I'll be the first to say that I know squat about 90% of the players out there, since the last time I followed baseball with anything more than a causal distand was 1994 (anyone else notice the significance?)
The only thing that I really look for is to make your team well balanced in all the stat catagories, or as close as you can, afte that just do wht ya want, some folks pick their fav players from their local team, others pick ones that are well known, myself I avoid picking whiny cry babies and people who think they're al that, so its' really up to you, as for how to select, if youre still havign issues i'll make up a thing to show how you can select players for the draft |

I notice the significance. I stopped rooting for the home team when they disbanded the 1997 World Series Champions, and I haven't followed baseball at all since the last strike threat, about 3 years. |

oh sorry bout that, I misunderstood the question.
from how its' looking most folks want to jsut have it done automatically instead of a live draft so I'll be setting it for that, and have it do the draft on April 1st before any games start. |

Don't the games start March 31st though? You can take my advise or not, but I would suggest doing it at least a week before the season starts so we can do some trades and have time for that! |

I still don't understand. Is Yahoo different than other leagues? If you don't attend a live draft then it just goes by your rankings anyway. So why can't those of us who want a live draft, have one and the other people don't have to do anything and it won't have any affect on what they do? |
