well personally I'd say that either 2B, or outfield hitting would be good, personally I think ur'e pitching is doing decent. |

- anubis' minions 11-28-5 .307 17
- K-town Konvicts 10-29-5 .284 18
Last Week
- Therapists 17 3 2 .818 -
- up chukers 15 5 2 .727 2
- Punkytown Hucksters 14 5 3 .705 2.5
- Chucktown Natattack 11 7 4 .591 5
- Southsiders 11 8 3 .568 5.5
- The Que Berts 9 8 5 .523 6.5
- Belleville Rednecks 8 9 5 .477 7.5
- Roxboro Rejects 8 11 3 .432 8.5
- command&conquer 7 11 4 .409 9
- anubis' minions 5 14 3 .295 11.5
- K-town Konvicts 5 15 2 .273 12
- Tyme Bandits 3 17 2 .182 14
This is shaping up to be a heck of a race, with five (count them five) teams within strinking distance of first place!
This week we can have a top mover and that's a three way tie! (talk about competitve!). The Chucktown Nat-Attack, The Que-Berts, and the Tyme Bandits each moved up three spots this week. Hmmm since i've played agaisnt two of them, I wonder if I can get a consilation prize
So lets have a look at last week games:
Belleville Redneck vs Chucktown Nat-Attack:
Projected Finish: Nat-Attack 12 Rednecks 9
Actual Finish: Nat-Attack 16 Rednecks 3
Summary
Well I dont know what to say here, I think my hitting took a holiday for the weekend. I leave fridy to see i'm close to tying, I come back today, and BOOM!, blown out the water. Never underestimate this team, seems the closer to get to typign them, the quicker they'll put you in your place.
The Que Berts vs K-Town Konvicts:
Projected Finish: Que Berts 12 Konvicts 7
Actual Finish: Que Berts 14 Konvicts 5
Summary
The Konvicts ran into another team with a hot hand (bad luck seems to continue) but they did manage a small comeback, as the score was at one point 16-3 (hmmm that sounds kinda familiar), so maybe a bringer of things to come? The Que-Berts, seeing an opportunity made the msot of it, and they've gone from also-ran status of in the thick of the hunt for first.
The Therapits vs command&conquer:
Projected Finish: Therapists 13 C&C 7
Actual Finish: Therapists 11 C&C 9
Summary
That injury bug jsut wont leave this team alone, as Reyes and Wilson are now down and out for a while (and Rodriguez is hurting in the hitting department, bad place to be if you play SS), but they we're able to hold off c&c, which is looking liek they're tired of being in the also ran group. They've made an impression already by helping to knock down the therapits out of first.
The Southsiders vs Tyme Bandits
Projected Finish: Southsiders 10 Bandits 8
Actual Finish: Southsiders 10 Bandits 12
Summary
Well I got half of this score right, what I didnt expected was the Bandits responce, they obviously felt they had somethign to prove and they did it in fine fashion, giving them a run for their money in every catagory, even pitching (which IMHO, the Southsiders have one fo the strongest pitching crew in the league).
Anubis Monions vs the Roxboro Rejects
Projected Finish: rejects 9 minions 8
Actual Finish: rejects 14 minions 6
Summary
When I last saw the score for this series, it was tied 10-10, so the rejects must have had one hell of a night. Props to coming back from such a far defecit. I was actually surprised, I though that the minions were on a roll but tha's the joys of baseball, you can never assume anything
The upchuckers vs the PunkyTown Hucksters
Projected Finish: up chuckers 10 Hucksters 8
Actual Finish: Hucksters 9 up chuckers 8
Summary
Well I said this would be a close series, and I wasnt wrong, well except for who won of course. Unfortuneatly the lack of a clearcut winner kept either team from claiming first place, but tehy're still nipping at the heels.
Predictions for the week ahead
Belleville Rednecks 6 vs Therapists 13
I'd liek to rank my team higher but the rednecks are in a serious slump, and short of some serious luck (or help) tey're goign to be hard pressed to give the therapits any challange at all this week. Look for the therapirts to not only win this series, but have a serious chance to get the lead back.
The Que Berts 9 vs Chucktown Nat-Attack 12
Both teams will go into this seris with a lot of confidence and momenteum. I find this will be the one that is hardest to call, but I'm going with the Nat-Attack solely based on the strength of their scheduele so far, as the QueBerts have had a slightly easier time of it (beating the Rednecks and Konvicts).
southsiders 12 vs c&c 9
Unlike the pervious series, both teams here are looking to redeam themselves after letting the lead get away from them in the dying seconds. This is another series that will be close, but with the stregth of the Southsiders pitching, look for them to get the win this week.
anubis minions 9 vs tyme bandits 12
right now this is a series with two teams going in oppisite directions. the bandits seem to have made it a missions to get out of the ellar ASAP, the minions jsut cant seem to get lady luck on their side, which unfrotuenatly wont be happening this week either, as the bandits seem to be white-hot.
up chuckers 13 vs roxboro rejects 8
The rejects made a great effort to get back from behind to win their series with the minions last week. The upchuckers took their series to the wall before just losing by a hair. Expect the rejects to nto be able to mount such a spectacualr comback this week, as the upchuckers will find they'll have a safe margin of victory as they cruise to a win
punkytown hucksters 15 vs k-town konvicts 4
The Konvicts are getting no love this year, every team they've run into is trying to get teh lead, and aking sure that the konvicts dont get in the way fo that goal. Unfortuneatly for the Konvicts, that trend will continue this week, look for another lopsided victory as the Hucksters take out their frustrations.
That's our installment this week, see you again next week when you can all laugh at my predictions

lol. ya. I'm not sure what's going on. My hitting is in the gutter, as is most of my pitching. I was ahead at the beginning of both weeks, but then just get slaughtered come week's end. Bah. Try and make a few moves here and there, see how things go.
GL to everyone in their week's matchups at any rate. See if I can avoid another thumping... |

ya i'm finding that it's a great challangge to get any prefromance out fo my guys, especially since I prefer to have a yougner team (it worked for hockey pools).
I'm glad that people read my articles, gives a big smile on my face
and ya avoiding a thumping this week woudl be nice for me as well, although barring a reversal of fortune (or getting Mark Prior back in full health starting tommorrow) i think it'll be a while |

actually right now they'res women in both first and last place
and you've hit the nail on the head as to why i dont get players that have hit their prime of sorts, they turn into assholes.
You might want to try the upchuckers, the Rejects, or the Konvicts, they might be intrested |

What time is it?!
It's the weekly report time!
that's right its' time to see whats new and improved in the LWD Baseballball Association. So without furthur adeau, lets see what's up.
This Week
Punkytown Hucksters 40-17-9 .674 -
Therapists 38-21-7 .629 3
Chucktown Nat-attack 35-20-11 .614 4
up chukers 35-21-10 .606 4.5
The Que Berts 33-21-12 .591 5.5
Southsiders 36-26-4 .576 6.5
Roxboro Rejects 29-29-8 .500 11.5
anubis' minions 23-36-7 .402 18
Belleville Rednecks 20-35-11 .386 19
command&conquer 22-37-7 .386 19
Tyme Bandits 23-39-4 .379 19.5
K-town Konvicts 14-46-6 .258 27.5
Last Week
Chucktown Nat-attack 27-10-7 .693 -
Therapists 28-12-4 .682 0.5
The Que Berts 23-13-8 .614 3.5
Punkytown Hucksters 23-13-8 .614 3.5
up chukers 23-14-7 .602 4
Roxboro Rejects 22-17-5 .557 6
Southsiders 21-20-3 .511 8
command&conquer 16-22-6 .432 11.5
Tyme Bandits 15-27-2 .364 14.5
Belleville Rednecks 11-25-8 .341 15.5
anubis' minions 11-28-5 .307 17
K-town Konvicts 10-29-5 .284 18
Looks like musical chairs with the lead as the Punkytown Hucksters become the third team to claim the lead, and are also the winner of the top mover award! Talk about a team that means business!
So lets see what happened in Week 3:
Belleville Rednecks vs the Therapists:
Projected Finish: Therapists 13 vs Belleville Rednecks 6
Actual Finish: Therapists 10 vs Belleville Rednecks 9
Summary:
Well this was a lot closer than I figured it woudl be. The Therapists came through with hitting as expected, but the Rednecks pitching became remarkably better, thanks to Wood and recently acquired Perez (talk about makign an impression). This weeks results were enough to keep the Rednecks from sinking farthur in the standings, but kept the Therapists from making any headway in their quest to regain the lead.
The Que Berts vs Chucktown Nat-Attack
Projected Finish: Chucktown Nat-Attack 12 vs The Que Berts 9
Actual Finish: The Que Berts 10 vs Chucktown Nat-Attack 8
Summary:
Now I see why I dont do colour commentary for any Sport shows. the Que Berts seem to know when to turn on the juice, keeping the Nat-Attack, which has had a very hot hand as of late, at bay. This is even with five of their regulars on the DL (wish I knew how they did it for sure). The Nat-Attack had to cool off eventully, although i'm sure they were hoping for a few more weeks of havign a hot hand.
Southsiders vs command&conquer
Projected Finish: southsiders 12 vs command&conquer 9
Actual Finish: southsiders 15 vs command&conquer 6
Summary:
Looks liek the southsiders werent too happy at being upset by the bandits last week, and unfortuneatly for c&c, they were in their path. One of many upsets this week, the c&c were hit with the 1-2 punch of being agaisnt a team with somethign to prove, and with their hitting going south, jsut coudlnt make a comeback in time.
anubis minions vs tyme Bandits
Projected Finish: tyme bandits 12 vs anubis minions 9
Actual Finish: anubis minions 12 vs tyme bandits 8
Summary:
Seems whatever you choose for the Bandits, they'll do the oppisite. This week, being chosen as the favorities to win, the minions didnt seem to like that very much. Their hitting came through and then some, and hence why they pulled away with the victory.
up chuckers vs Roxboro Rejects
Projected Finish: up chuckers 13 vs roxboro rejects 8
Actual Finish: up chuckers 12 vs roxboro rejects 7
Summary:
Well I predicted that the rejects woudlnt be able to pull off a comeback, and I was almost wrong (wow glad I dont play the lottery). The Rejects are still battling inguries to their key players, and lack of production from their pitching staff was the seal to their loss this week.
Puckytown Hucksters
Projected Finish: punkytown hucksters 15 vs k-town konvicts 4
Actual Finish: punkytown hucksters 17 vs k-town konvicts 4
Summary:
The back luck for the Konvicts continue, as they run into the third team in as many weeks that have their eye on the prize so to speak. In their defense the Konvicts did try to get a comeback going, but in such a big hole, its' hard to climb out.
Predictions for the Week Ahead:
Belleville Redneck 6 vs The Southsiders 14
The southsiders will be trying to ride their momenteum from their victory last week to make some headway in the standings. The Rednecks are jsut trying to avoid being left in the dust. Looks for the southsiders to win this one handly as their pitching, arguebly the best in the league, will guarentee them at least 6 points right away.
The Que Berts 11 vs Therapists 10
Look for this series to be very close, as the Que Berts are getting a good roll of momenteum going, and the therapists are struggling as of late. This series coudl go either way as both teams are on the bubble, not realy knowing whether they'll get on a roll or fall in a slump.
Chucktown Nat-Attack 16 vs K-Town Konvicts 4
I'd lvoe to say that the Knovicts will turn it around this week, but barring a miracle, look for the Nat-Attack to get back on track with their winning ways and use this to get back into first place
anubis minions 10 vs command&conquer 9
this series is another close one that coudl go either way. c&c is looking to come back from a pasting at the hands of the southsiders, and the minions are looking to ride the momentum of a convincing comeback against the bandits. look for the minins to keep up their winning ways, but not by much.
up chuckers 13 vs tyme bandits 7
the bandits got their first series win last weekend, beating the minions. Look for those winning ways to end as they face a much tougher opponet in the up chuckers this week. Coming off a victory agaisnt the rejects, look for a similar result in both the win column and the final score.
Puckytown Hucksters 13 vs Roxboro Rejects 8
Coming off a lopsided victory against the Konvicts, the Hucksters will run into a slightly tougher opponet, the rejects. The rejects, having come up against oen of the top teams in the lead, has their tough times continue as they face against the top team in the league, and unfortuenatly, wont be able to get any headway in the standings because of it.
Well thats' all we ahve for this week, tune in next week to see what the future unfolds. |
