Hey guys, is it possible to get Solaris for free, or do you have to buy it from Sun Microsystems? By the way, if it is free, I need to be able to download the CD images (*.iso files) via FTP or HTTP, I don't wanna use Kontiki...

Hey soup, if I download the binaries, do I have to recompile them? I'm sorta vague on the meaning of "binaries"... Hehe, sorry, but I'm a newbie! Very Happy

Also, I only have only 8GB free space, do I HAVE to install the Java Enterprise System Software?

binaries are what you get when you compile from source. So, no there is no need to compile binaries, they are already compiled.
