How do you fix Windows 2000 backgound wallpaper whoever logon to their account.. Let say 18 user making use of that workstation and I wanted them to see a stardard wall paper.. is there a way to have the wallpaper fixed?

Sure, set it up in the default user section of the registry, then everybody will get the same wallpaper.

You'll have to lock it down with a policy or mandatory profile if you don't want them changing it in their profile though.

You could take their rights away from that registry key, so that only ADMINS can modify it.

That's how I prevented the system policy taking effect and forcing my wallpaper to something I didn't like. I set the permissions to read-only for every group there. It does mean I have to adjust the permissions manually if I want to change any other Desktop settings, but it means I get to keep my pretty wallpaper. [Wink]
