I'm working on a bunch of things for the stats sheet, one of which is the team GHZ active/day.
Well, to be able to calculate that I need some info from you guys, namely how many GHZ do you have in your farms? If i can get a couple people to divulge their secret, I'll be able to do a better calculation for the team.
Mine:(6x1.8ghz = 10.8)+.9= 11.7 |

How often do the FAH stats server get updated? I'm doing a stats program for SETI I can surely make on for FAH as well. It's just that hourly updates aren't fun unless the stats HTML pages are undated as often. |

It seems that they don't get updated as quickly as SETI does. It can take from 2 to 6 hours for stat updates to appear on any of the tracking pages... |

The Stanford server updates every 3 hours. I'm not sure how long before an update your units have to arrive by to be included.
Toast, check your PMs please. |

I have a pair of identical Duron 800 Win98 machines at home that I run 24/7 every other week, only because the kids don't like it when Dad is using 'their' PCs when they're here.
I also occasionally run a P3 866 NT4 Server at work, which has surprisingly pathetic performance compared to my Durons.
All machines are set at 95% load for FAH because I never got around to changing it. BTW, does anyone know how to get NT to stop logging and bitching about a process using XX% of the CPU? |

Be aware that the Pentium4's weak floating-point unit makes it a real dog in most Folding @Home applications, while the Athlon's strong FPU makes it a powerhouse. For the units using the GROMACS core, I read that the -advmethods switch uses SSE for good performance on Pentium3, AthlonXP or Pentium4.
Both of my PCs are crunching away at Folding @Home:
AthlonXP 2100+ (1733 MHz)
AthlonXP 2400+ (2000 MHz) |

Okay, we now know what is in your wristwatch....
C'mon, give it up. You post impressive numbers and we want to know what causes it. |

Toast,
Ok, I finally got mine all done on paper:
2 Dually 866 PIII's = 4 x 866Mhz
1 Dual 1GZ PIII = 2 x 1Ghz
1 933Mhz PIII
1 1Ghz PIII Laptop (part-time)
1 Dual 750Mhz PIII = 2 x 750Mhz
1 Celeron 500Mhz Laptop
1 PII 350Mhz (part-time)
I just added a couple of those tonight, so it won't reflect in the stats for a couple days.

Two XP 2100+'s @ 1.733 Ghz *not in a dually, just 2 comps.*
1.2ghz athlon *if the bitch dosen't crash*
850mhz athlon *when my dads at work, he don't like me pimping the family computer *
p4 2.2ghz *when my brother is home from college*
= 7.716ghz or 7.916 ghz if I can get the 1.2 to be stable, and back at its 1.4 ghz overclocked speed |

Is there any way we can elect to get the GROMACS core or does it just happen by chance?
Question: I'm using the command line client and didn't set the advanced options when asked to. By default is the option to use "optimized assembly code" enbabled? I saw that option in the graphical client. I don't like using the graphical client, annoys me for some reason. Wrote my own program to hide the CLI client window and put it in a tray icon.
After the SETI Gauntlet is over my folding farm will be:
P4 2.66
P4 3.06
P4 1.60
dual P3 1.13
Athlon 2400+ (1.8 GHz?)
P3 700
~12 GHz |
