First, thanks for your solution to this problem. I had been trying to figure this out for almost 2 months.
My problem is that I cannot connect 2 hard drives to the same ATA/66 connector with one being master and the other slave, or using the cable select method. Windows will hang on startup if I try this. The only way I can get it to work is with one hard drive on Connector 3 and the other on Connector 4 with cable select. NOw I have one HDD with the drive letter C and the other as H., with my cd drive E: and ZipDrive F:. How can I change it so that my HDDs are C: and D Do I need to have them set up as master and slave on the same connector? |

First off you have to have the correct end pluged into the MB with an 80 pin cable. Then you have to put the master on the opposite end of the ribon and the slave in the middle. Hope this helps
Sometimes it sux to be me, sometimes it doesn't. Go figure |
