Well, since nobody seems to post in this forum anymore, I thought I'd start one, you know, this being a computer site and all.
"AAAll Pacino! Attica! Attica! Attica! Attica!"
Sorry, Saturday Night Fever is on tv.
Anyhoo, I'm curious to know what kind of overclocks my fellow dogs are getting. Tell us your default speed and your oc'd speed and any other oc related stuff you'd like to add.
Mine: Athlon XP1600 (1400mhz) @ 1531 mhz (still locked)
I'm going to try to go higher before I unlock it but I think that's a pretty decent oc for a locked XP.

'Ere we go (you know, I've been waiting so desperately to show off)
Main Rig:
Pentium 4 2.4B @ 2700 MHz (FSB150)
512 MB Corsair XMS PC2700CL2(166MHz) DDR @ 187.5MHz 2-3-3-5-1T
Second Rig:
Athlon XP1800 (1529,5MHz) @ XP2100 (1725MHz) FSB150
no volt mod, no multiplier mod.
Both running Seti full time. The P4 avg. at 2h52m and the XP 3h35m.
I really repent buying the P4 when looking at Seti, but it's fun to play games on that thing.
I want to buy a dual setup shortly, but don't know which board yet. I want to go with two XP CPUs, if it's not working I will buy two MPs, too and put the XPs into ECS K7S5A boards. |

My overclocks:
Duron 950 (Morgan) @ 1100Mhz (multiplier locked)
Celery 900 (Cu-mine) @ 1100Mhz
Athlon XP1600 @ 1533 Mhz (multiplier locked)
The Duron 950 is in a K7S5A, so there really isn't much point in unlocking it as the clock generator on the K7S5A doesn't support multiplier adjustments, though I could mod the bridges to set a different multiplier. I have the XP1600 running on a FSB of 146, I plan to unlock it and aim for 1700Mhz+.
Hrbib21 - are you sure that's an unlocked XP1600? 1531 is a weird value for an XP1600 (I couldn't duplicate it). I get 1522.5Mhz @ 145 FSB and 1533 @ 146 FSB (10.5 default multi). Are you reading from the BIOS (which might be inaccurate) or are you using software such as WCPUID?
[EDIT]Sorry Hr, I just realised that your board might be producing a slightly off FSB, such as 145.8 instead of 145. One of my boards does that.[/EDIT]

Athlon Tbird 1.3 @ 1600 mhz (unlocked, 10x160)
Would go higher, but motherboard doesnt allow multiplier changing within BIOS, and right now my PCI is at 40 mhz, which is most likely going to kill them sometime soon.

Oh, we're talking puters...... sorry, move along. Nothing to see here. |

xp1700 @ 154? I only oc within limits, I know it can go higher, but I dont need the thermal load. Using H20 and I know it can handle more, but my memory is holding me back a bit. |

P4 1.6A @ 2300 (144x16).
AMD K6-2+ 450 @ 605 (110x5.5)
Celeron 366 @ 577 (105x5.5) (This chip is amazing. This is at stock voltage with a shitty socket 7 heatsink that is actually worse than the stock heatsink. I'd love to try higher but this damn motherboard doesn't support any higher fsb's.) |

Got an XP 1900+ running at...1900+!
Sorry. I actually do want to overclock it, but my last attempt at unlocking it failed (I'll try again soon) and I have to get a new NIC before I OC on the FSB; my D-Link really holds me back. Ask me again in a couple months...I'm getting some stuff set up at my new off-campus house, including a nice little game/print/SETI server built with an XP 1600+ I just bought dirt-cheap off Newegg (thankee, Hrbib!)

PIII 700 @ 1gig
PIII 550 @ 684mhz or (something close to that)
The rest are all running stock.

XP2000+ 1667MHz@ 1782Mhz, (143 FSB)
I had it up to 1807 but the darn ECC DIMM's didn't like that at all.
Rock solid at this speed, and cool too. I got enough fans to start my own wind tunnel..LOL

Well this is my second tyme typing this, the first time i tried it the forums were down or something, so here goes
I have a 1200mhz athlon on an abit kt7a @ 1333mhz, i would like to go higher but i think my memory is holding me back *512megs pc133 PNY [XX(]*. Im using a coolermaster hhc-001 to keep it cool, its doing a good job, under 100% load the temperatures are at 109 - 113 far., thats all depending on how hot my room is too, lol, when i had my computer in our basement the temps were at 95 far.
My other computer is an xp 2100+ on an abit kx7-333 with 512megs pc2700 corsair xms series. Its running at the stock 1733mhz with another coolermaster hhc-001 cooling it. I would like to overclock it, but i dont want to push it too far considering that its at 125 far. under 100% load
ARG!!!! NEED MORE FANS!!!
http://www.antec-inc.com/en_sidepanel.html hmm, that would help somewhat, im surprised my sx635 didnt come with one
http://www.crazypc.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=120199&Product_Code=5303 now THAT could cool a video card

You got it exactly right. I have an Abit KX7-333 with SoftmenuIII. There is an option called "Enhance For Benchmark" and, from what I understand, if it's enabled, gives you an extra .4 to .8 on your frontside bus. So you hit the nail right on the head.
