hrbib, I am pretty sure Anie was offering her thoughts and experience
for EVERYONE's benefit, and not specifically singling you out to tell you
how to run your business. As far as I'm concerned, That is What We DO Here.
You say it's hard to not be mean, but do you know what's even harder?
NOT assuming you are being attacked when it might not be true. I really wish
you would take back what you said, and of course, cannot make you. |

Of course I won't. She's pissed me off with her unneccessary comments too many times for that.
Having said that, I most certainly respect your opinion as always, TOMax.

I got an e-mail from Lars today confirming that the refund did indeed go through and asking for 10 days for it to show up on my credit card. In exchange for my trouble, he offered me free shipping on any future order.
Sounds good to me! I've got no more qualms [ ]

That's right; five doggies. Now BOW!!
Wow, that would save me a whole $5 in Wisconsin. |

This has already been stated but to reiterate:
The credit card charge is submitted at the time of the order, and can take up to 72 hours to actually show up on your card. So, when you say:
Quote:That's all well and good, however, the card shouldn't have been charged in the first place. Ordered and cancelled and card authorized on 9/4/02 and charge put through on 9/6/02. No excuse.
Your wrong, there is every excuse. When you hit the submit button, your credit card was charged. It didn't show up on the bill until the 6, but the charge was submitted on the 4. There is no way to prevent this from happening.
Cancelling a charge on a credit card is a slightly more lengthy procedure. It usually takes on the order of ten days for it to be completed. Just like the charge took 2 days to show up on your bill, the cancelation may take up to ten days before it shows up on your bill, despite the fact that the charge and cancelation occured on the same day.
Before you get in a rage about it, give it 10 days for the cancelation to show up.
Furthermore, hrbib - I'm not sure why you feel the need to be so aggressive?? I'm not sure why you have to rage at anyone offering advice or reason, but it is rather annoying. |

I just wanted to follow up on this issue, the credit has shown up today on my account. MPC has retained my business and I will be happy to use them again as they offer good materials at decent prices. I have yet to find another dealer that offers any type of Rackmount case for under 100$, yet MPC will sell them left and right.
Thank you Fido, Lars, and Cemal!

First, it's not offering advice, especially when the person offering it doesn't have any stake in the outcome. Second, YOU'RE WRONG. As I said above, which you apparently FAILED to read, my cc company TOLD ME that the authorization was put through on 9/4/02 and the card was ACTUALLY charged on 9/6/02. The cc company told me that they would have to physically put it through on 9/6/02 in order for it to show up on my card as it did. So, the rest of your statements are a moot point.
Now, WHAT?

I have nothing further to add. I have no stake in the outcome. Apparently this negates all rights to offer advice. |

Wow what a crazy last 2 weeks.
I am seeing that this debate has touched on a larger issue than a mistake made by my company. Yes, it does take a littl longer for your charge to come back to you. I think that is just the nature of the beast.
If you are one of the folks that ordered this or you just like "the Dog " we would like to offer you a special deal.
Here goes, If you spend 50-100 bucks you get free shipping, 100-200 you get 10 bucks off and free shipping 200 + you get 15 off and free shipping. i know it doesn't sound like much but my margins are thin and i like you guys.
Now, in order to get this you have to call ME , 1-800 331-3323 and ask for Lars! Could you also metion you are from Littlewhitedog.com?
Thank you Fido and the rest for going to bat for us, we are small but, we know our stuff too.
Lars Neilson

If you have any issues please direct them to me as i will get it done. |
