Just got the D-link 714, I am a dummy to all this network stuff, so I'd appreciate b-i-g, simple explanations Smile

I have Roadrunner (gt.rr.com) with a motorola modem, I am not even using the wireless part yet, just hooking up to the the wired router. I've went through the instructions, and I think my "ip" part is all good.
The problem is when I get into the setup wizard of D-link and it asks for:
username and password
and/or
host computer name and domain name

I've tried just my username and password without luck, so I'm guessing it wants "host computer name and domain name"
any ideas?

also it asks if your isp requires you to input the WAN ethrnet mac? If I need to, I see a hfcmac number on the back of my modem, I'm guessing that would be it, if required.
