Well ... I installed it with my system in an overclocked state and there are a few issues, but nothing real serious ... I'm gonna reinstall it at normal clock speed before I pass judgement ... so far I like it - alot !!! [Sticking out Tongue]

A biggie for me is XFree 4.02 is included ... the latest NVIDIDA drivers installed flawlessly ... you can choose LILO or GRUB at installation time ... all the latest packages are included, so there isn't a need to download 300 megs of updates right off the bat ... overall, the installation process is more polished ...

Well ... me thinks this is the first beta ... I have no idea how long their usual cycle to gold is ... this is all new to me too ... I'm just having fun playing around with it ... it's still pretty impressive stuff in my opinion ... [^]

I don't have any USB devices installed ... and after reinstalling it (there's a bug in the DrakeConfig), the nVIDIA drivers won't install like they did the first time ... consider my enthusiasm dampened ... [Sad]

I figured out the problem I was having installing the NVIDIA drivers ... seems the first install included the kernel-source files ... can't create driver modules using the kernel-header files ... after installing the kernel-source everthing installed without a hitch - D'oh !!!

HELP!!
I have installed LM 8.0, got it work.
But, during the installation.. it will not let me do the bootloader option for some reasons.
Now, my PC will only load to LM 8.0 from Grub!? My fist o/s is Win2K and it is on NTFS partition.

I think the reason why I can not load into Win2K because the Grub can't read NTFS partition.
What happened to LILO ?? ... is LM 8.0 doesn't support LILO??
Is it possible to use LILO in LM 8.0 ??

Anybody out there .. please tell me know the best way to get back to my default o/s -Win 2K!! The last thing I want to do is reinstall Win2k again!!!!!

I have tried to uninstall LM 8.0, but I still can't get rid the MBR -Grub!?!?

:?: Question Question Question Question
