I have about 10 of these... all working. I'm sick of the sight of them... The speeds range: 100MHz, 133MHz, 166MHz, 200MHz.
I also have some AT PSU's that go along with them if anyone is interested.

I dunno... maybe $7 per motherboard+cpu combo. That sounds pretty reasonable to me. |

Brain, has it been deemed weather or not SETI can run on a Beuwolf Cluster...Have you given it a try yet? This would really have me interested if SETI could run on a cluster with superfast times. Do you have any examples of Clusters and SETI Times?
If there is an Improvement I may consider putting linux on some boxen an building a cluster (BTW, I see a reference to gigabyte networks, can this be run on 100 mbit networks?) Thanks

SETI is not threaded, but on a cluster you can run multiple instances (like one per CPU) concurrently. It's similar to running SETI on a SMP box, where each thread contributes to the completion of it's unit, but not to any other...
And yes, you can run a cluster on 100-base-T (even 10-base-T), but runs a tad slower getting the data to/from the controller to the slaves.
I used to run a Vax cluster consisting of 54 uVax II's a few years back, this was one area where DEC was significantly ahead of the pack.

Damn..wish I had seen this earlier ! I could really use those! I'm trying to get a non-profit started for needy families. (NO,this is not a bunch of bull either!!) I want to be able to sell lower speed not so top of the line computers for just what I have in them. That way maybe some of the low income kids could get some knowledge of computers and maybe get online. Oh well...if anyone hears of any super cheap deals that might fit the bill...give me a hollar dbry222@merr*com Just replace the asterisk with a dot!!

ok, I just got back from testing/preparing all the motherboards/processors. Some things have changed. (some bad, some good).
Bad:
I actually only have 6 motherboards to sell.
I'm going to up the price to $10 a mobo+cpu
Good:
All the mobo's+cpu's work perfectly.
I'm up'ing the price because I'm including 32MB to 48MB of RAM for every motherboard. (already put in and configured)
I'm also uping the price because I gave each CPU a nice Heat sink or Heat sink+fan
...so anyways...
I took some pictures of the mobos:
All 6 motherboards+cpu+ram
1 of 6
2 of 6
3 of 6
4 of 6
5 of 6
6 of 6
btw, I still have 3 AT PSU's for those motherboards, if anyone wants em ($4 a psu)

If you put the pics on geocity you have to rename them to something like .txt and browsers will know it is a pic and show it.

Sorry everyone. Just got back from Florida on vacation.
For those of you that want to see the pics he posted, you can just follow the links, and then backspace over the ".jpg" part.
- 10 bucks now?
- Only 6?
- DeBry wants some?
It's all you Debry. I'm out. I had RAM and I had heatsinks. So... go ahead if you want 'em.
