I am running a dual boot win98 and Linux Mandrake 7.1, i also have a RCA USB Cable modem which works fine in win98 but i'm not sure how to set it up for linux is it even possible.. Because the thing is that i don't think there are linux drivers for my modem - are there any kind of generic drivers or something :

I don't know, Linux doesn't like USB too much. It's getting better, but it is far from perfect. You might need to get the latest kernel for it to support your modem. That might not even do it either. Rover is the resident linux guru, so I'll let him take over now. Rover...

thats cool hummer010, i know this is a bit of a whooosy question. And don't worry about the Kernel update becasue i'm planning on winning Mandrake 7.2 from LWD so   [ ]

I am using 7.2 and i think it uses the 2.2 kernel. i'll have to check to be sure.
