First Starcraft 2, now it seems Blizzard is excluding LAN support in D3 as well!
I remember back in the day before in-game voice chat existed, I'd walk through a door and get pinned between the onslaught of baddies and my buddy standing right behind me trying to get through the door too. Before I could type "get out of the way!" I'd die. That's why we'd only play in a LAN, so I can shout at him! |

I still just play it one player style. Haven't got into the online aspect of it. No time for it. The way I see it D2 will last forever. |

I've always done the single player thing. Though my 76 year old mother is playing D3 and I help he with boss fights and stuff. D3 is most definitely going to need a big expansion if it wants to even come close to approaching the longevity of D2. The RMAH is terrifying though, the amount of real money people will spend on virtual junk is mind boggling. |

I've heard that. Kick butt at a game and sell armor and stuff. Unreal. Good of you to help granny. Mine made pie.... I wouldn't know how to act if my mom or grandmom played RPG's... heh.. All passed away now but it's still an odd thought. "No mom I gotta get to school" No sir you sit right down and tell me where this secret book is right now young man! |

She's the only family I have left. She got into gaming way back in the Mud days because it was a cheap way to talk to me when I traveled. It cracks me up now when she has nothing in common with other people her age because none of them even grasp the concept of gaming.
As for D2 My only real beef is the lack of offline single player. |

Gottcha. Hell, I won't bother with it if I can't play it on my own with single player. Scaming everyone into the online deal I guess. Bunk man... Like I said, D2 will last a lifetime. I'm at level 74 just getting ready to beat them three guys on the summit. Not far really from beating the game on Nightmare. This time I'll not kill the cow king and keep that open so I can keep going in there and getting goodies. I mean how the hell can you ever get full sets of some of these special armors with all the matching stuff. There ain't enough hours in the day. I just hit level 74, it's gonna take months at 8 hours a day to hit level 75. And I cheat, kinda. I keep a copy of my save file so if I croak I can go back. I can only imagine what Hell level will be like. And that's only one player, the Barbarian. You can start a new game as four other types. I was hoping D3 would be like that but oh well. |
